I watched one of TED talks videos of which was one of this course required assignments, it is Susan Cain's talk about the Power of Introverts. I was so engaged with this video as it pulled my attention to look deep inside myself trying to apply it and whether I am an extrovert or introvert. I was thinking after many times watching this video, wow, what is going on? I tend to know myself well, but I found the concept of extroversion and introversion is somewhat challenging to me. What surprised me was that I feel I am closer to the introvert than to the extrovert personality. There is nothing wrong with that as long as I can adjust with the environment at work or at school.
However, as a teacher, it is a different story because it is not about me, it is about my students who expect a perfect learning experience and that their learning is facilitated well regardless they are extroverts or introverts.
In this regard, I am planning to accommodate my students and to be flexible with the exams and the assignments and to be able to provide opportunities for individual and group work rather than limiting learning to group work only.
